Mission Statement:
Certain things tend to run in cycles. Club sports teams are one of them.
There's the typical 3 year cycle in ultimate.
Year One
-Start up out of the ashes of another team, experience growing pains, be pleasantly surprised when you exceed expectations.
Year Two
-Surprise other teams and hit peak of competitive edge.
Year Three
-Implode in a spectacular haze and form two new teams.

Practices:
First practice Sunday March 12 at 3:00.
Westmoreland Park in Sellwood.
Be on time. 3:00 is the start time, cleats should be on, and you should be ready to go.
Our first three weeks of practice, the Onionfest and Gandy tournaments will determine the direction we are headed with our roster this year.

Sundays from 4:00 to 6:30 once the time changes.
Midweek practices also to be determined after the time change.
Midweek scrimmages with other Portland teams when available.

We run a fast paced practice, with more focus on sharpening individual skills, rather than a rigid team strategy.
Team strategy is learned on the field and on paper handouts, not from hour long speeches.
Learn by doing, not by hearing.

Goals:
Continue our streak of holding/beating our seed.
Longterm goal of continuous placement in A bracket on Sunday.
We improved dramatically at the end of the year, and would like that to continue.
Success on the field, without sacrificing positivity on the sidelines.

Strategy:
Focus on fundamentals on offense, advancing the disc vertically with women, and keeping possession with men.
Maximize the total number of touches necessary to score while on defense.
