Right On!
Kyle was able to pick the final rank for Oregon Mixed Sectionals correctly for team. Coltrane, nailing the 6th place finish exactly! Astounding! Mostly he was wrong about everything else.
The UPI's computers were also amazingly close to correctly predicting the final score in the Sleepover Coltrane game. Mostly because they did not know the score of the game at Kleinman where Coltrane scored all of 2 points, instead reporting it simply as W-L.

My Inspiration
Here is what my Free Will Astrology had to say for me this week (in short).
Libra: One of the best gifts you can give yourself right now is to visualize a psychic healer (or your guardian angel) removing a load of mud and an old shoe from you body.
I am using this as my inspiration for sectionals weekend and beyond.
Sectionals Inspiration 2
There is a simple reason why this dog catches all of these discs. He lives for the disc. He wants it more than anything else, and he goes and gets it. That's what we have to do this weekend. We have to want the disc more than anyone else.

Sectionals Inspiration
Derek Redmond was one of Great Brittan's premier Track and Field Athletes of the late 80's and early 90's winning gold metals in 400m and 4x400m relays at the European, Commonwealth and World Championships. In the 1992 Summer Olympics 400m race, he was poised to easily win the gold metal. He posted the fastest time of the first round, and won his quarter-final. However, in the semifinals, around the 175m mark, his hamstring tore. Redmond immediately fell to the ground, in extreme pain. Determined to finish the race, he began to hobble his way to the finish line, his face etched in pain. Redmond's father quickly made his way to the track to help his son finish the race, to a standing ovation from the 65,000 person crowd.
The moral of the story: We need to stay focused on our goal and be determined to finish the race. We've come a long way this season preparing for this weekend. Let's go out this weekend and finish the race. Play hard. Be positive. Leave it all on the field, and have fun. I know that we can play our way to regionals.
LET'S GO!
Put your hands in my hands

It was a tough week for vutbaol at the Coltrane Hostel.
Big Big win by the Ducks over University of South Eastern Michigan (maybe it's time they joined the MAC and let the Big Ten go back to ten teams?)
And an even bigger win by little known quarterback Brett Favre and the upstart scrappy Packers over the Philadelphia Eagles. Is it time to start Codby Kolb? Or whatever the hell his name is? Who would have though the Eagles would miss the steady leadership of Jeffrey Garcia?

THURSDAY PRACTICE
I know my normal routine for Thursday practice is to get all worked up and get angrified. So in preparation* for me blowing up, I've written out my apology beforehand. Get ready suckas.

*What if you don't prepare or get ready ahead of time? Some people call it "winging it" I think from now on when I improvise I'm going to call it "pare-ing" cause there's no "pre" in front of it.
